Our fixed point continuous monitoring stations can be distinguished by the sampling probes extending vertically from the top of grey roadside enclosures. The outside of the Halcyon Road, Newton Abbot monitoring station is shown in the photograph.
Inside the analysers are placed on racks, with each analyser connected to a pump, sample inlet and a central communication system.
Each analyser stores thousands of measurements directly within its memory from where it is collected by remote telemetry.
The photograph on the left shows the inside of our Halcyon Road, Newton Abbot monitoring station. At the top, to the left, the air conditioning outlet can be seen and the Nox analyser is shown on the rack. The calibration gas bottle can be seen on the right.
Each monitoring station has an air conditioning system as the heat produced by the analyser is considerable.
